It's been an interesting week. I have been sewing up a storm trying to complete these home made Christmas gifts. If I could only win a lottery I could go out and fight the malls like normal people and just buy the darn stuff.

As you know I lost my yearly bet with the brat in the black shirt out west and now owe the snickering goof a mug inscribed in the words of his choice.

Of course being the upright person that I am I will do as told and hold the damn thing ransom like mine from two years ago. I'll make sure I send a picture of it to it's proper owner with the appropriate random demands. Just because I'm good that way! :-) guess who is snickering now?

Here are a couple of pictures of the duvet cover I just finished for my daughter.

The material is a plush brown. Ronni loves brown. This one wasn't an easy one lol it involved panels . Also being the zipper queen I put the darn thing in upside down and had to rip it out and put it in again. Won't ever do that again!
I think it turned out OK, it's really heavy though. I bought the material thinking she wanted a futon cover..she corrected me lol and I wasn't going to let this go to waste. I really have to listen better or write stuff down.
I had a bit of a scare this week. To make a long story short I kinda collapsed at work. My speech was slurred and well you do the math. I was rushed off in an ambulance to the hospital. Which I found out I'll have to pay for..lol that outta help the stress! got to love our health system.
I'm doing fine and was sent home that night. I have some follow up doctors appointments to go too next week. I just believe I'm too young for all this to be happening.
Who would have thought that at age 50 you have two steel wires in you and you are now going to the Stroke Prevention Clinic.
And to top it all off I still have to fight these hot flashes!... lol ya aging is a riot...lol
Well that's it for now.... hugs all
